Speech and language development should come naturally for children but sometime speech and language disorders make it difficult for them to communicate their needs with others. Children with speech difficulties may demonstrate frustration from not being understood due to sound errors, inability to form words/phrases/sentences, and struggling to clearly express their thoughts.
Children with language-based disorders have difficulty following directions, do not understand information that is shared with them, and have difficulty expressing what they want to communicate. Children with expressive or receptive language disorders may have difficulty understanding/expressing themselves with spoken and written language.
We will evaluate and develop a plan, goals, and materials to help your child use his/her speech and language in the most effective way.
